Pill-Mate

Introduction
Everyone gets sick sometimes and must take medicines; dietary supplements are used very often as well. Taking medicines or dietary supplements requires arranging time, and usually it is a bothersome matter when people need to take more than one medicine more than once a day. Especially for seniors, forgetting taking medicines at the scheduled time would worsen their health conditions.
Our Pill-Mate/Event-Reminder addresses this issue. It is the very first one on the market for this application.

User Instructions
There could be many choices on the timetable of taking pills. To make it simple and conventional for most people and considering that people usually buy medicines during the day, the initial start time is pre-set to the evening in this unit. It will then go into the chosen schedule. See below for details. If you get your medicines in the morning, take them once or twice based on your doctor’s advice and then start using the device in the evening. We also suggest that you put small tags on the lids of the pill bottles for the quantity you need to take every time to complete the whole automatic process. Once the setup is done all you need for pill taking is ready. You will never miss a dosage.
1. Install fresh two AA batteries and/or plug in the AC adaptor (sold separately). Pay attention to the polarity of the battery when installing it.
2. Sort out your pill bottles according to the time schedule (how many times a day) and cascade them to the corresponding handles of the control unit using ribbons.
3. Slide the switch to ON position. The power on LED will flash indicating the power is on.
4. Users can choose 1 to 5 of the choices by pushing the corresponding button switches: ?4 times/day, every 4 hours, skip night; suggested time is 8pm, 8am, 12pm, and 4pm. If you select the start time at 7pm, then the rest of time will be one hour later than the suggested time. That is 7am, 11pm, 3pm, and then 7pm.On the other hand, if you select the start time at 9pm, then the schedule will be 9am, 1pm, 5pm, and then 9pm. ?3 times/day, every 6 hours, skip night; suggested time is 8pm, 8am, and 2pm. You could set your own schedule as shown above. ?2 times/day, every 12 hours, skip night; suggested time is 8pm, and 8pm. ?1 time/day, every 24 hours; suggested time is 8pm. ?1 time/week; suggested time is 8pm, Sunday.

5. Use the start button to initiate the setup procedure.
6. When scheduled time comes up the buzzer will go off and LEDs on the selected choices will be flashing fast to remind you to take those medicines. After you finish taking medicines push the choice button switch once to re-set the timing. The LED will change from fast flashing to slow flashing. No-tice that the buzzer is shared by all choices. Only all choice buttons are reset the alarm will go off completely and another cycle begins.
7. When batteries are low, the power LED will be flashing fast. Replace the batteries. It is recommended that you change the batteries at the time you take medicines so you can keep the schedule.
